Dr. Yilei Wang was born and grew up in Beijing, China. She received her medical training in Beijing Medical University and Peking University Health Science Center. Upon her graduation with a Doctorate degree in Ophthalmology in 2004, She joined Beijing Tongren Hospital where she had gained extensive experience and expertise in diagnosis and management of different eye and vision conditions.
Dr. Wang has been practicing in Optometry in the GTA, Ontario since 2008. She is an active member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, Canadian Association of Optometrists, and Ontario Association of Optometrists. She is board certified to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents (TPA) for ocular conditions. She actively attends both optometric and ophthalmic symposium and other opportunities of continuing education to extend her professional knowledge and techniques.
Dr. Wang is excited to set up her own clinic in Markham where she also resides. Dr. Wang provides full scope optometry services at Markham Eye and Vision Care. She is looking forward to utilizing her knowledge and passion to provide premium eye and vision care to her patients of all ages.
Dr. Wang enjoys music, reading, and sports. She appreciates family time with her husband and their two children, Opal and Jayden.
