If you are an Ontario resident and have low vision, you may be eligible to receive government funding for low vision aids through the Assistive Devices Program.
The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care runs the Assistive dvices Program (ADP) to help people who have long-term physical disabilities get needed equipment and supplies, including visual aids.
In most cases ADP pays 75 per cent of an approved price.
If you are receiving social assistance benefits under Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program ( ODSP) or Assistance to Children with Severe Disabilities ( ACSD), you may be eligible to receive more fund.
Please refer to the Fact Sheet from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care of Ontario.
