According to researches and clinical studies, elongation of the eyeball has been at least part of the main reason of myopia progression in children and youth. Axial length of eyeball is available now at Markham Eye and Vision Care to enhance our myopia control monitoring and strategy planning. Please contact our office for detailed information if you have more questions related to myopia control options and available technologies.
COVID-19 Update: Ontario Emergency Order Effective January 14, 2021
The Ontario government has declared a second state of emergency that will take effect January 14, 2021.
The state of emergency includes a stay-at-home order that requires citizens to stay home except for essential purposes such as accessing grocery stores, pharmacies, health care services, and for essential work.
The order specifically targets social gatherings, non-essential retail, and non-essential construction. At this time, health care services such as optometry are not included in the order.
Due to rising case numbers and the emergency order, optometrists are reminded to continue following the College’s COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control guidance.
